In 2006 the IAP-developed Koolglide product won the product of the year award from the National Society of Professional Engineers. We believe this award recognized our strengths in three areas of power electronics development.
Efficient Designs
We are experts in electronics that maximize efficiency. Typically our designs are smaller, less expensive, easier to cool and more energy saving than competing designs. The KOOLGLIDE, for example, is a 4.5 pound induction heat generator. This compares to similar products that typically weigh 20 pounds and up and cost many times more.
Rugged
IAP builds power electronics for rugged military and commercial applications. The IAP designed RhinoBond Roofing System, for example, is used for the installation of commercial roofing and withstands extreme outdoor conditions and rough handling.
Specialized
We design products for unique applications that cannot be done with standard products. The PNCC static converter was developed for power distribution on naval ships. This product is lighter in weight that comparable systems and has a special fault detection and correction system to provide steady power throughout the ship.
