Establish an account with them and download complete patents for about $5 each!   Trademark searches are also available. Give this site a prime spot on your bookmark list.

STO's Internet Patent Search System
Another tool for patent searching using the manual of classification or index of classification. Best for searching a category of invention, rather than searching by keyword. Abstracts are free.

US Patent Database Access
A fine tool for doing keyword searches for patents by subject, inventor name, assignee, etc.
